Winter weather? Almanac says 'Numb's the word!'

People worried about the high cost of keeping warm this winter will draw little comfort from the Farmers' Almanac, which predicts below-average temperatures for most of the U.S.
"Numb's the word," says the 192-year-old publication, which claims an accuracy rate of 80 to 85 percent for its forecasts that are prepared two years in advance.
The almanac's 2009 edition, which goes on sale Tuesday, says at least two-thirds of the country can expect colder-than-average temperatures this winter, with only the Far West and Southeast in line for near-normal readings.
"This is going to be catastrophic for millions of people," said almanac editor Peter Geiger.
The almanac predicts above-normal snowfall for the Great Lakes and Midwest, especially during January and February, and above-normal precipitation for the Southwest in December and for the Southeast in January and February. The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions will likely have an unusually wet or snowy February, the almanac said........

Summer Olympics
First of all, congrats to Jill Kintner, Mike Day, and Donny Robinson—and also, a special thanks for bringing some “extreme sports” flare to the 2008 Summer Olympics. Finally, we were able to watch people compete in a sport that doesn’t involve tights, leotards, and Speedos.
The debut of BMX racing in the Olympics was satisfying, gratifying, and nothing short of being extremely exciting. But we still feel a petition is in order to get more action sports logged on the list of events for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Badminton… table tennis… trampoline… synchronized swimming??? Common—wtf?? What about skateboarding, surfing, inline skating, kiteboarding, and wakeboarding? The grey haired senior citizens sitting on the Olympic board need to understand a few things. We want sports that involve more than a swimming pool; and that take place anywhere but a gymnasium.
And to the likes of Michael Phelps; we commend you! After all, despite the sport, you definitely went Ballzout!! Congratulations on your success!
So speak up! Comment! Let us know how you feel! Maybe, just maybe, someone will open their eyes and give us some exciting shit to watch in London, 2012.

TQ - Just checkin' in
What up my homiez of the world. Just getting this blog thing going. This is an awesome way to get the word out. If you know of any comps or photo shoots or just want to talk the talk, this is the place to be!
Just wanted to let everyone know that after being laid up for 3 long years due to a severly herniated disc injury, I am now back in action! For the last 3 years I have tried every sort of healing process to recover from blowing my disc out. With nothing proving to work for me I finally went the way of surgery. I had a complete replacement of my L4-L5 disc with an artificial disc, which is allowing me to get back to doing what I do; FUN STUFF! No more buggin the crap out of my wife and being a poopie pants.
Since the surgery I have been able to get out and go skiing, swing the clubs, waterski, wakeboard, wakesurf and longboard with my trusty sidekick Aspen (a beautiful Alaskan Malamute).
This is just the beginning my friends. Keep your eyes posted for more updates to come, and feel free to dip in and let me know what's a-happenin' in your world.
